SpaceX will try a second Falcon 9 static fire Saturday

SpaceX has confirmed it will perform a test firing of a Falcon 9 rocket's engines Saturday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The company says launch of the rocket on Tuesday is still possible.

Today's static firing was targeted for 9 a.m. After delays for unspecified reasons, the nine first-stage engines appeared to light around 1 p.m. at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Launch Complex 40.

SpaceX said the test aborted at T minus 1.1 seconds due to high chamber pressure in one of the engines.

"We are reviewing data now and will make a second attempt tomorrow," a spokeswoman said.
