Atlantis undocks from station
Shuttle Atlantis left the International Space Station today after its 11th and likely final trip there.
The vehicle undocked from the station at 11:22 a.m. to begin the trip back to Kennedy Space Center. It's scheduled to arrive Wednesday at 8:48 a.m.
Atlantis is wrapping up its last scheduled flight before the shuttle program is retired. The final two missions are scheduled to be completed before the end of the year.
This trip the shuttle spent seven days and 54 minutes docked with the station.
Now that it is undocked, pilot Tony Antonelli will, take the vehicle about 400 feet from the station to inspect the outpost.
