Live at KSC: Crew hatch locked for launch

LIVE IMAGES: The images above are from live video feeds in the Launch Complex 39 area at Kennedy Space Center. They will automatically refresh to the most up-to-the-minute image every 30 seconds.

The hatch has closed behind space shuttle Endeavour's seven astronauts in anticipation of a 6:03 p.m. blastoff from Kennedy Space Center.

The White Room closeout crew has locked 15 latches and is about to begin leak checks to ensure a tight seal.

Then they'll pressurize the crew cabin to 14.7 pounds per square inch before departing the launch pad.

Weather remains "red" for several launch criteria about two hours before launch.

The main concern will be thunderstorms within 20 nautical miles of KSC's landing strip.

This is the fourth time the crew has entered the orbiter for launch, correct? This is reminding me of the 61-C Columbia attempt...that was really crazy.
