The Atlantis astronauts and colleagues on the International Space Station are now in radio contact, having established what is known as "The Big Loop."With the shuttle flying about 36,000 feet away from the station, U.S. astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson could be heard calling Atlantis mission commander Ken Ham over a ship-to-ship radio link.
"Hey Hock," she said.
"T.C., you're sounding good," replied Ham.
"So do you. Can't wait to see you guys," Caldwell Dyson said.
"Back at you. We're looking out the window at you right now and you are brilliantly glowing," Ham said.
He was talking about the sunlight glaring off the various appendages of the station.
Also glowing: the planet Venus and a crescent moon. The rare sight was captured by cameras on the station.

I saw the moon and Venus last night while on my way to Dairy Queen...almost drove off the Berlin Turnpike, it was such an amazing sight!
