Senate confirms Bolden to lead NASA

The U.S. Senate this evening has confirmed Charlie Bolden as NASA's next administrator, according to Florida Sen. Bill Nelson's office.

Nelson offered the following statement.

"Charlie Bolden is the perfect person to keep America the leader in space, science and technology. I've known Charlie the better part of a quarter century, since he was my pilot on the space shuttle in 1986. He'll bring back the magic from a time when we rode rockets to the moon."

Well, let us hope that the powers that be at NASA figure in the timetable for launches that they not take place in summer evenings in CentFl. It might save a few bucks. 6 times?
