Live at KSC: Weather watched during final hour

The closeout crew is leaving launch pad 39A after helping Endeavour's astronauts get strapped into their seats and ready for a planned 7:13 p.m. launch.

But forecasters are closely monitoring a band of storms approaching Kennedy Space Center from the northwest.

The storms only have to be within 20 miles of KSC's landing strip to rule out a launch. Or, they may come even closer.

The countdown is is about to enter a planned 45-minute hold at T minus nine minutes. If all went well, the clock would pick up again at 7:04 p.m.
