A United Launch Alliance Delta IV rocket is counting down to a 6:14 p.m. launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Launch Complex 37.
You can watch live coverage of the countdown and liftoff here. Just click on the big picture above or the NASA TV still image on the right side of the page to launch a viewer, starting at 4 p.m.
The rocket is carrying a next-generation weather satellite for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, called GOES-O.
The total mission cost is $499 million over its anticipated 10-year life.
After concern about earlier thunderstorms, the weather is now "go" for the launch, and no technical issues are being worked.
Launch managers are in the final steps of the fueling process.
The loading of liquid hydrogen into the 206-foot rocket's upper stage is expected to be completed by 4:45 p.m.
Upcoming are tests of the safety system that would allow the rocket to be destroyed if it strays off course, and of each stage's main engines.
