Live: Ice issued cleared, dark cloud being watched

NASA has determined that ice growing on a liquid hydrogen line on the shuttle Atlantis is not going to prevent a launch today.

Launch time remains 2:01 p.m. Weather experts are keeping close tabs on a thick, dark cloud hovering over the Launch Complex 39 area close to the pad.

However, for now, all indicators are green for a launch today, including weather. Shuttle weather officer Kathy Winters is briefing launch director Mike Leinbach about the cloud build-up. NASA says the growing cloud is north of the pad.
