Discovery's astronauts will test critical reentry and landing systems today after completing a final heat-shield inspection on Thursday.

Here's a look at their day in space:

5:13 a.m.: Discovery crew wake up.

8:28 a.m.: Astronauts Stow Crew Cabin.

9:43 a.m.: Flight Control System Checkout.

11:03 a.m.: Test 44 nose-and-tail steering thrusters.

12:33: Mission Control briefs crew on deorbit preparation.

1:03 p.m.: Crew talks with students at Panahou School in Hawaii, where President Obama graduated in 1979.

4:13 p.m.: Set up recumbent seat for returning station flight engineer Sandra Magnus.

6:38 p.m.: Stow Ku-band communications antenna.

9:13 p.m.: Discovery crew sleep.
