The first stage of a Delta II rocket now holds just under 10,000 gallons of RP-1 fuel, a highly refined petroleum that will be combined with liquid oxygen to power the vehicle's Pratt & Whitney RS-27A main engine.
The 9,975 gallons of fuel was pumped into rocket tanks in 18 minutes and 19 seconds, launch engineers reported.
C-Band beacon checks are still ongoing, and we're standing by for a weather briefing prior to first stage liquid oxygen loading.
At last report, the weather forecast was 90 percent "go."
