Live in orbit: First wing fully deployed

The first of two solar wings on the International Space Station's P6 truss now is fully deployed. The deployment of the second wing will be coming up within the next hour.

Spacewalkers Scott Parazynski and Douglas Wheelock are in the U.S. Quest airlock, wrapping up the third of five spacewalks planned during Discovery's stay at the station.

You can watch the action unfold here in The Flame Trench. Simply click to link below the image above to launch our NASA TV viewer and live coverage of the solar wings unfurling in orbit. Refresh this page, too, for periodic updates.
