Cloudsat and CALIPSO are stuck on Earth until at least Friday while the team assesses whether to replace a glitchy temperature sensor in the rocket's second stage. The assessment is ongoing to determine if the launch can proceed on Friday morning or not.
Afternoon update: NASA is definitely setting up for a Friday attempt, the seventh in a week. The first try was last Friday. The KSC-based launch team has been in California for more than a week now and is eager to get the Delta 2 and its tandem satellites off the ground. Launch time is set for 6:02 a.m. Eastern time. Check back here in the morning for updates.
