Soyuz lands tonight
Tonight (Sunday morning in Kazakhstan), the Expedition 12 crew of the International Space Station and Brazilian Marcos Pontes are to land in the steppes of Kazakhstan in their Soyuz capsule. The hatches between the Soyuz craft and the station will be closed in about a half-hour. Then, departing Commander Bill McArthur, Valery Tokarev and Pontes will bid farewell to the crewmen who remain: Jeff Williams and Commander Pavel Vinogradov. They had a ceremony Friday to pass on the keys. See today's landing preview, and don't forget to click through to the cool Flash animation.
