Fossett remains over water

Adventurer Steve Fossett is more than halfway across the Pacific Ocean this morning as he continues his bid to make the longest flight in aviation history.

The GlobalFlyer, according to the mission control team's flight tracker, has arced to the southeast and is on course for the Baja Peninsula. That's the beginning of his trek across North America.
