Fossett avoids bailout & lands

Steve Fossett has diverted to a different airport and is safely on the ground. A generator problem with the aircraft forced Fossett to go to Bournemouth instead of the intended landing site. He called Mayday during what seemed a very rapid descent, but his team is reporting that he is safely on the ground. Details are very sketchy, but we're trying to find out more about what happened.
