Santa gets the all clear from FAA for takeoff

The big guy in the red suit got the all clear from the Federal Aviation Administration to head for your house tonight.

And thanks to modern technology you can track Santa’s every move, even from your smart phone.

Since the 1950s the North American Air Defense Command, or NORAD for short, has used high-tech tracking systems to monitor Santa as he visits homes all over the globe on Christmas Eve.

This year you can follow his flying sled and reindeer on everything including twitter, facebook, Google Maps, YouTube and cell phone applications.

The tracking begins the moment NORAD detects Santa lifts off from the North Pole.

Satellites positioned 22,300 miles from Earth are equipped with infrared sensors, which enable them to detect heat.

Rudolph’s bright red nose gives off an infrared signature that allows the satellites to detect him, his fellow reindeer and Santa.

NORAD started broadcasting images and video of Santa’s journey on the Internet in 1998 using high-tech, high-speed cameras.

They are positioned all around the world and used just once a year for this special journey.

Click here to follow Santa as he makes his way to your house.

This may be the last year for Santa and his reindeer since the Obama administration is shutting him down and turning it over to privatized companies!!! He will ruin Christmas by privatizing Santa much like he did America's once proud space program!!!

If private companies can get the job done cheaper than Santa, then let's go with the private companies. They've already flown their newly designed sled twice, with great success! Go GiftsX!!!

SpaceX and GiftX will fail!!! The US manned space program is and Santa are doomed!!!

I heard that SpaceX does business with Iran and Syria.

At least SpaceX & other private companies won't sit around for years living on the fumes of past engineering in the aerospace program. After all private companies have to focus on profits from advancements while govt run companies ONLY seem to focus on waste & paying high salaries for nothing. Bureaucrats know how to hold back true science & technology just like cures for many illnesses. That's how they've managed to control society.

Awww, Did Santa forget to give out those big NASA bonuses this year? Privatizing was necessary after all the years of waste at NASA. Its the only way space exploration has a chance to move forward. Everyone knows that but most are just afraid to admit it. This comes from a former NASA worker recently laid off knowing how fortunate we were to have jobs in this field. Time to move on to greener pastures with fond memories of years past.

All those people that work at the Space Center were against the National Health Care program stating it was a Social Welfare Program.

Bad Karma set in and now they are going to gladly take money from the Unemployment Compensation Social Welfare Program and be in need of the National Health Care Plan they opposed.

To begin with the US Tax Payers pay for the Space Program which is nothing more than a GLORIFIED SOCIAL WELFARE PROGRAM itself.

Karma is a bee-otch isn't it.

Milk it baby, milk it! Milk that Glorified Social Welfare Program for all it's worth!
Squeeze out every drop!
