Shuttle program managers made no decisions today about whether Discovery will attempt to launch this year.
Analysis of the shuttle's repaired external tank continues.
Program managers on Friday plan to brief Bill Gerstenmaier, NASA's associate administrator for Space Operations, on the status of the engineering analysis.
It was not clear that a decision would result from that meeting either.
Discovery is currently targeted to launch no earlier than Dec. 17, the start of a four day window to launch a planned 11-day mission to the International Space Station.
If that window is missed, the next likely opportunity would be in February.
Managers could still decide to perform a tanking test or roll Discovery off the pad to collect more data on the tank, but NASA officials said those options were not discussed in detail today.
Engineers are studying what caused two support bars on the tank to crack when the shuttle was fueled Nov. 5, and the potential for additional cracks to form.

Oh yea before I forget... I heard around town that it might be only one more flight of that thing. Seems you can try but you can't milk the shuttle forever.
Pizza sounds good...

Don't insult the pizza delivery drivers of the world.

Hey 10:51...
I said pizza...
Nothin like eating pizza before getting into a SCAPE suit.
I remember one time...and when the dude from life support unzipped me his eyes turned red glazed over.
You know pizza is really good for breakfast.
