Did NASA find extraterrestrial life?
Probably not, but a press conference scheduled for 2 p.m. today is sparking rampant rumors on the Internet.
NASA officials plan to "discuss an astrobiology finding that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life. Astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, distribution and future of life in the universe."
Some speculate they will announce findings of water and evolutionary biology.
However, a few websites are having fun with the speculation about discovering little green men.
The Washington Post's pop culture blog lists items they already know about aliens.
You can watch the press conference streamed live on NASA's website.

"You can watch the press conference streamed like on NASA's website."
Like cool man. LOL
And I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords.
It's just one of Captain Kirk's green offspring, no big deal they ARE EVERYWHERE!
If the announcement is, "It's a cookbook," I'm outta here.
we come in peace, snicker snicker
!!!!!We are the Aliens !!!!!!
With the new directive from NASA with Bolden and Obama, it will be more likely that we will quit anything to do with Space or Aviation and we will focus on Global Climate Warming Change Hoaxing from here on out to the tune of 90 Gagillion dollars a year.
Apparently the discovery was a species of bacteria in Mono Lake, California, that utilize arsenic rather than phosphorus in various parts of their cellular structure.
So, the conservatives now deny that 2010 has been the hottest year on record? Maybe NASA should be involved in issues that affect whether we are going to survive.
Headlines Tomorrow: The Martians are coming, The Martians are coming! The aliens just landed at NASA and were making their way to shuttle workers , creating a path of unhappy employees as they handed out pink slips & moon pies. OH NO!!!
If you get to say it's global warming when it's hot, I get to say it's global cooling when it's cold.
Fair enough?
