Russian Soyuz Rocket Fully Fueled For Launch at 7:10 PM EST

A Russian Soyuz rocket is fully fueled at Baikonur Cosmodrome tonight, ready to launch a crew of three on a two-day trip to the International Space Station.

The 162-foot-tall rocket and its crew -- U.S. astronaut Scott Kelly and Russian cosmonauts Alexander Kalery and Oleg Skripochka -- are slated to blast off at 7:10 p.m. -- 5:10 a.m. local time on Friday. Click the NASA TV box on the right to launch our NASA TV viewer and live coverage of the launch.

The three astronauts are strapped into the Soyuz capsule atop the rocket and Russian launch controllers are working no technical show-stoppers. Assuming an on-time launch, the trio is scheduled to arrive at the International Space Station at 8:01 p.m. Saturday.

Thank you for our second rate status, Mr. Obama.

Mr. Putin is laughing at you.

S. from Mont.

Lets not forget the Congressmen and senators who, for now, went along with him. The president I mean.

Remember all the autrage in febuary. Shelby from alabama
was going to fight this plan with all he had. Nelson said
it was dead wrong and a non starter, yet a few weeks later
after pres. Obama s visit to the cap, he was the first one
to concede and push for the and to the moon program.

And sen. Shelby who should have voted no on the senate bil
and offered a version of is own. If he had, I beleave that
at least 7 to 10 oders, even dem. would have followed him.

I hope the peaple of Florida vote Nelson out, and I would
wish the same for Shelby if he were not rip. but the dems.
usually don t like NASA as mush as republicans so there is
no alternative there but to hope that he will try to improve
this bill, and even introduce amendments to restore funding
for a Moon effort.

Lets pray.
