NASA Gives Atlantis A Green Light For May 14 Launch

NASA just gave shuttle Atlantis and six astronauts the green light for flight, officially setting May 14 as the firm launch date for an International Space Station outfitting mission.

The launch-date decision, which was widely anticipated, was made at the conclusion of an all-day Flight Readiness Review here at NASA's Kennedy Space Center.

You can watch a live post-review news conference right here in The Flame Trench at 5 p.m. Simply click the NASA TV box on the right side of the page to launch our NASA TV viewer.

Ya!! but of course the only time you see people comment on the space program on FT is to bash it and their workers. I hope you the best shuttle! People who don't support it will hear how it sounds when there are no more sonic booms or the roar of your great engines. The sound of silience that will be the curse of Brevard County.
