Joint press conference begins shortly

Astronauts aboard the shuttle Discovery are eating lunch now and when they're done will join their colleagues at the International Space Station in a joint news conference.

This will be the first press conference with all 13 people at the ISS.

Joining Discovery's seven astronauts are California native Tracy Caldwell Dyson, a former shuttle pilot, and Russian Cosmonauts Alexander Skvortsov and Mikhail Kornienko.

They arrived at the ISS on Easter Sunday and will stay until September.

Also on board, current ISS commander Oleg Kotov of Russia, as well as Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi and American Timothy (T.J.) Creamer.

The 40-minute news conference, scheduled to start at 7:26 a.m., will be broadcast on NASA TV and can be seen by clicking on the box on the right.
