Yep...that's how many people it takes to do one persons job at KSC. This is nothing but the make work welfare program in full stride....

You seriously believe that President Obama is intimidated by the meeting he is going to have at KSC? He's on the ground for a couple of hours at best and then off to raise money for the DNC in Miami. This visit is to pacify his congressional supporters. Nothing more.

I would rather pay 100 people to do the work of 1, than pay welfare to 100 people that do nothing. Your chances of getting something comes from people that have a job to go to. But either way, you pay.

Nice cartoon....don't do what's right but rather use political intimidation to get yours. You've nailed it perfectly....

-If a tree falls in forest, and no one is there to hear it, does it really make a sound?

Back when the crack was found in hangar at the SSPF, it was noted that only 200 or so have access to the orbiter, so 3 orbiters times 200 workers equals 600, wtf are the other 7,400 or so employees doing? Why are they employed?

-so-point being-back to first line-

If someone has a KSC contractor job thanks to their brother's cousin-in-law, and a trumped up resume, and they don't actually do anything space hardware related-that is they don't play a part in preparing orbiters(or rest of shuttle stack) for launch-are they really space workers?

Face it...most of these people are destined to be on welfare one way or another...only now we wont have anything to show for it.

This is why we haven't left low earth orbit in 30 years.....

United Space Alliance = EPIC FAIL

The only problem with this cartoon is that KSC space workers about to lose their jobs (as Americans will no longer launch from America) won't be allowed anywhere near Obama. They'll be kept away...forbidden from the area. Only those partisan kool-aid drinkers specially invited by Obama will be allowed anywhere close to him (and the cameras). Nice...

There is so much more to a Shuttle launch than just Orbiter processing. Go to http://www.nasa.gov/centers/kennedy/home/index.html and learn a little bit about what is involved in the spaceflight business. And you might want to follow a piece of advice attributed to Mr. Lincoln...

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." - Abraham Lincoln
