Live at KSC: Endeavour "go" for fueling test

LIVE IMAGES: The images above are from live video feeds in the Launch Complex 39 area at Kennedy Space Center, where shuttle Endeavour is being readied for a critical fuel-loading test. They will automatically refresh to the most up-to-the-minute image every 30 seconds.

Mission managers this morning gave a "go" for a fuel loading test to begin at 7 a.m. at Kennedy Space Center's launch pad 39A.

You can watch live coverage of the test here. Click on the NASA TV still image above or on the right side of the page to launch a viewer.

The weather forecast shows only a 90 percent chance of conditions allowing the tanking test to proceed.

More than 500,000 gallons of liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen will be loaded into shuttle Endeavour's 15-story external fuel tank, a process expected to last a little over two hours.

The goal is to test repairs of a vent line that leaked hydrogen gas and forced launch scrubs on June 13 and June 17.

If all goes well, Endeavour is targeted to launch July 11.

But a failed test today would push the 16-day International Space Station assembly mission to late in the month or August, making it harder for NASA to fly out its remaining eight missions on time by late next year .
