Live: Launch imminent; 3 minutes to go

The launch of space shuttle Atlantis is imminent.

With three minutes and counting, the vehicle is poised to leave the Earth. No technical or weather problems to report.

Main engines are now in the start position. The launch team is going through last-second checks and monitoring all of the shuttle systems.

All remains well. No unexpected errors.
