Blogger update, 4:16 p.m.: A headset problem on the International Space Station has delayed space shuttle's back flip manuever slightly, but it will apparently begin shortly.

Shuttle Discovery's crew is "go" to begin a nine-minute backflip beneath the International Space Station.

That means the shuttle is pulling within 600 feet of the outpost.

Waiting in the Russian Zvezda module with 400 millimeter and 800 millimeter camera lenses to shoot pictures of Discovery during the back flip.

They have been having some trouble communicating with mission control, which could delay the maneuver.

It was scheduled to begin at 4:11 p.m. EDT.
