Live in orbit: Crew sprints toward finish line














Spacewalking astronauts are heading into the home stretch of an excursion outside the International Space Station, finishing up the external outfitting of the U.S. Harmony module.

Working side by side in bulky white spacesuits, Scott Parazynski and Dan Tani are installing a power-and-data grapple fixture on the hull of the can-shaped module. The fixture must be secured for the module to be moved early next month to a permanent position at the front end of the U.S. Destiny laboratory.
