We are honored to report that this blog earned a 2007 Online Journalism Award for beat reporting.
The Flame Trench, launched less than two years ago as a new way to chronicle the happenings and intrigue of space exploration, has predominantly featured the work of myself and colleagues Todd Halvorson, Chris Kridler and Patrick Peterson over the past couple of years.
You can click here to read about the OJA winners for 2007, which include some fine innovative journalism. The awards are given out by the Online News Association, which is affiliated with the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication.
We're honored to be among those recognized. We have a great time keeping up this blog and we appreciate your continued readership. As always, we want to keep getting better so if you have suggestions or input, please let us know by writing me at jkelly@floridatoday.com any time.
