
Discovery's crew left their quarters at 7:48 a.m. today and will arrive at the launch pad at about 8:18 a.m.
They will make the short walk out the the astrovan for the ride to pad 39A.
"They get a chance to see their friends and family members and the training team when the come out that door," said astronaut Pat Forrester, a two-time space shuttle veteran.
"There's a growing optimisim about the weather," said NASA commentator Mike Curie.

9:33 a.m. - hatch closes
10:44 a.m. - MMT conducts final "go/no go" poll
11:38 a.m. - launch
11:46 a.m. - main engine cutoff/orbit
