Shuttle Discovery's planned noon rollout still is on schedule despite an evacuation of the Kennedy Space Center Vehicle Assembly Building.
NASA cleared dozens of workers from the 52-story building after a burning smell was detected by safety engineers. The problem was traced to a power supply associated with the mobile launcher platform Discovery is mounted atop. It emitted a burning smell when electricity was routed to it -- much like a heater at home would if it hadn't been turned on in a while.
Workers now have returned to the building and NASA still is targeting noon for the shuttle's move out to launch pad 39B.
