The latest forecast for Thursday's planned Atlas 5 launch puts the chances of acceptable weather at 70 percent. Thick clouds and "disturbed weather," as Air Force forecasters call it, will be the biggest risks to launch during the 4:27-7:16 p.m. window. The forecast is similar for Friday. The rocket, which will carry the ASTRA 1KR broadcast satellite, is scheduled to roll out to the pad this morning on its mobile launch platform.
