Maybe tomorrow for Delta 2
The poor weather predicted for California today came true, prompting yet another postponement of the launch of a Delta 2 rocket carrying the Cloudsat and CALIPSO climate satellites. Clouds over the launch site were too thick for the rocket to safely fly through. For those keeping count, this marks five scrubbed attempts since the first try on Friday. NASA plans to try again tomorrow. The forecast looks a lot better tomorrow with an 80 percent chance of acceptable conditions. See the video replay of the scrubbed attempt at NASA Direct.
