European lab construction finished

The European Space Agency says its Columbus laboratory module is finished, and ready for shipment to Kennedy Space Center sometime in late May. The science lab is supposed to fly to the International Space Station as early as next year if NASA remains on its current schedule. It is one of the highest priority items remaining on the flight manifest before the shuttles retire in 2010. You can read more about Columbus at the ESA site.
