NASA to address next shuttle mission

NASA will hold a news conference at 4 p.m. EST today to discuss plans for launch of shuttle Discovery on the agency's second post-Columbia test flight.

Senior managers reconvened a meeting at 1 p.m. EST today to decide whether to swap out critical fuel-depletion sensors in the shuttle's external tank, a move that would almost certainly force NASA to delay the mission until July.

We'll update The Flame Trench as soon as the news conference begins.
