Russian cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, who became the first female to fly in space in 1963, was the guest of honor at a special dinner party Monday in the Washington, D.C., area.
A fascinating account of the party, and Tereshkova, was written up by columnist Nora Boustany and published today in the Washington Post.
