Astronaut authors

A lot of folks asked whether Mike Mullane, who wrote "Riding Rockets: The Outrageous Tales of a Space Shuttle Astronaut," will do any book signings outside of Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Here's one: He'll appear Monday at 7 p.m. at Borders Books and Music, 600 N. Orlando Ave., Winter Park.

A number of astronauts are coming to the Visitor Complex this month to mark the anniversary of the first shuttle flight. Among them is Tom Jones, author of "Sky Walking: An Astronaut's Memoir," who will make appearances from Wednesday, March 15, to March 21. Call (321) 449-4444 for information.

3/15 Update: For those who don't want to pay to get into the Visitor Complex to meet Tom Jones, he's also making an appearance Monday, March 20, at 7 p.m. at the Books A Million in the mall at Merritt Island.
