Retired astronaut Mike Mullane is making a return trip to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to sign books March 4-5. His "Riding Rockets: The Outrageous Tales of a Shuttle Astronaut" lifts the curtain on NASA with a refreshingly frank and often funny look at what it was like to be one of the first shuttle jockeys. His appearances are Saturday, March 4, at 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 5, at 1:30 p.m., 3:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Regular admission fees apply.
For space junkies looking for another book to get signed, local author Philip Chien is signing "Columbia: Final Voyage" at the Barnes & Noble in Merritt Island, 780 E. Merritt Island Causeway, this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
