Shuttle Discovery still is in the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center and NASA managers now are targeting rollout for no earlier than 7 a.m. EDT. NASA spokesman Allard Beutel said work is running slightly behind schedule. In addition, conditions at the spaceport are windy.
NASA engineers gathered at their stations at 3 a.m. after stormy weather prompted a delay in plans to begin the 3.5-mile move at 8 p.m. Saturday. All platforms have been retracted in High Bay 1 of the 52-story assembly building and the doors are open. We'll keep you posted.
