NASA will stage a series of news briefings today to outline plans for the agency's upcoming mission to the International Space Station and introduce the astronaut crew destined to fly aboard shuttle Endeavour, which is being readied for flight at Kennedy Space Center's launch pad 39A.
Six astronauts will board Endeavour during the predawn hours on Feb. 7 and if all goes well, the 18-story spaceship will blast off at 4:39 a.m. EST on what is expected to be the last "night" launch before the shuttle fleet is retired later this year. Their mission: to deliver the Tranquility module and an attached Italian observation deck to the station.
Tranquility is the last large pressurized module for the U.S. section of the station. The Italian Cupola is equipped with six windows around its sides and one on its top and will provide a 360-degree view of the exterior of the outpost.
Three spacewalks are planned during NASA's 130th shuttle mission, the first of a final five planned before shuttle fleet retirement.

Last nights flood in the LCC will undoubtedly cause a delay for the Feb 7th target. Anything bad always happens between the 28th of Jan and Feb 1st
