Atlas V launch managers are monitoring a thunderstorm to the west of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station that is expected to put the countdown in a "red" condition for about an hour. But fueling is proceeding at Launch Complex 41 in preparation for a 5:12 p.m. liftoff off two NASA satellites headed to the moon.
"Right now there is no impact to our tanking operations and we are continuing," said NASA TV commentator George Diller.
Another storm closer to Daytona Beach is also being monitored.
The Centaur upper stage is more than 90-percent full of super-cold liquid oxygen. The Atlas booster will be loaded next.
