Shuttle crew beds down amid photo fest













The Atlantis astronauts are sleeping now after a long day that included a lengthy countdown and successful launch from Kennedy Space Center earlier today.

The seven-member crew aims to check out their shuttle heat-shield early Friday, and you can watch the action unfold here in The Flame Trench, where we will be webcasting live NASA TV coverage of the STS-122 mission on a round-the-clock basis.
