Part 2: Shuttle landing photo fest

A large cadre of photo-journalists were on hand at Kennedy Space Center today as shuttle Atlantis and its seven astronauts landed at NASA's coastal Florida spaceport.

Among them were a trio of highly talented FLORIDA TODAY photographers that included award-winning Craig Rubadoux. Here is a selection of the outstanding images that Rubadoux captured as Atlantis touched down and began to roll out on Runway 15.

The photos show main gear touchdown 12 days, 18 hours, 21 minutes and 40 seconds after the shuttle's Feb. 7 launch; nose-gear touchdown 12 days, 18 hours, 21 minutes and 55 seconds after launch; and deployment of the ship's drag chute.
