Live in orbit: Schlegel won't reveal illness

Walheim and Schlegel work Tuesday, when Schlegel was feeling better.

In an interview with CBS-News, German astronaut Hans Schlegel declined to reveal the nature of the illness that forced flight surgeons to remove him from Monday's spacewalk.

"I feel really great right now. I'm a little anxious because tomorrow is my first spacewalk," said Schlegel, who was assumed to have space adaptation sickness similar to motion sickenss. "That's all I want to say because medical issues are private."

Later, he added, "I'm feeling very fine. I worked all day today."

Schlegel admitted feeling a "little bit bitter" about missing the spacewalk, which he supported as an advisor from inside the space station.

"Once that decision was made I fully supported it," he added.
