Look left to see the spider's silhouette.
An arachnid earned its 15 minutes of fame Sunday morning on NASA TV.
Just after Atlantis' launch was scrubbed, the big spider was seen several times crawling across the television screen.
Though plenty of giant spider jokes were made, the eight-legged creature had nothing to do with Sunday's shuttle launch scrub, said NASA spokesman Allard Beutel.
The launch pad was cleared on Sunday due to pre-launch conditions, but when workers return, the spider will be humanely relocated from its stage on the launch pad camera, said Beutel.
