A two-day, invitation-only conference for state and federal space officials is under way in Orlando.
State officials have offered little information about the conference, which is said to be an attempt to improve collaboration among states to help grow the industry to everyone's benefit.
Space Florida expects to provide some report on the meetings after they end. Invitations were limited and the proceedings at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport are apparently following procedures that emphasize confidentiality to enable more open discussion.

Florida Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll gave a welcoming address and the keynote speaker is Elliot Pulham, CEO of the Space Foundation, according to News Service Florida.
