Report: O'Keefe And Son Survive Alaska Plane Crash

A global news agency is reporting that former NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe and his son survived the plane crash that killed former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens.

Quoting an unnamed source who had been "briefed on the matter," Reuters said the two are alive. No further details were provided.

O'Keefe, 54, a former U.S. Navy secretary and former Stevens aide, assumed responsibilities as chief executive of EADS' North American unit in November. He was NASA Administrator from December 2001 through February 2005.

Whoops, that was me. You really don't know what to think when people have been reported to have died, but you don't know who. Do you wish it's one person and not the other? I had a hard time wishing Sean and his son were ok because at the same time I was indirectly wishing two other people were dead. I guess I'm glad I don't have to make those decisions. In any case, here's to a speedy recovery to the two O'Keefe men.
