President Barack Obama will call the crew of shuttle Atlantis at 5:45 p.m.
The event is listed on the president's White House schedule for today, and the listing says it is closed to the press.
It's unclear whether the space-to-ground will be aired on NASA Television.
Obama and a group of school children called the crew of STS-119 during an International Space Station assembly mission in March. Several key lawmakers, including U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Orlando, and U.S. Rep. Suzanne Kosmas, D-New Smyrna Beach.
