Even though Brevard County didn't vote for Obama they won't mind taking the money. It shows what kind of freeloaders we have in Brevard.
No Congressional Republicans voted for the stimulus and only 3 senate republicans voted for the senate version. Such a show of unity surely must be based on principles. As such, I expect these congressmen and senators to strongly oppose accepting this money. District 15 Congressman Posey voted NO to this stimulus, his vote for the GOP and against the stimulus looks hypocritical at best and not at all representative, but according to his office he wanted tax cuts and more trickle down... as if that worked for the last 12 years. If you benefit from this $1B in new NASA funding, thank your democratic congress and senate.
The $1 billion won't be coming to brevard, but rather to Glenn, Ames, Goddard for climate change b/s and other stuff unrelated to what we do here, so get over it.
Sen. Posey will vote against this, as he did the original bill, so get over it.
This does nothing to help with the end of shuttle, so get over it.
Rep. Kosmas proposed $2 billion for NASA for shuttle transition help. Posey supported her. The Democratic leadership did not, and her amendment wasn't even voted on, so get over it.
This is a joke. It is their normal budget plus 300 Million. Total is 1.3 Millon. Obama and McCain promised 2 Billon. You got the short end of the stick KSC and Brevard. You got only 300 Millon more then normal and it might go to Al Gore. You lost 700 Millon which was promised. Obama is not a space person. There will still be many jobs lost in Brevard.
And the flat earth representative has his say! Please tell us that the shuttle has never been used to study climate change, we're all ears...
Well, federal jobs at KSC are good. But Harris in Melbourne is also competing for GOES-R and Goddard earth science work that would be done in Brevard County. Same for Climate change research and weather (NOAA and NWS). There are lots of ways to get those federal dollars flowing into Brevard.
More wasted money for a useless program!
One billon in the stimulus package ... well I guess that proves it ... KSC is in fact a jobs program.
