"PMA-3 has reached its new home," said NASA commentator John Ira Petty shortly before 9 a.m. EDT.
The pressurized mating adapter, which has been used for shuttle docking, is ready to be bolted to its new location on the earth-facing port of the Unity node.
The relocation makes room for the Harmony node to be attached during a shuttle mission in October.
