Russian Craft Makes Approach To Station

A robotic Russian supply ship is preparing to make its final approach to and docking at the International Space Station after a three-day trek from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

The Progress 45 spacecraft is carrying almost three tons of food, fuel and supplies to the orbiting outpost. It is set to arrive at 7:40 a.m. Live NASA TV coverage is under way. Click the NASA TV box on the right to launch our NASA TV viewer.

The final approach comes on the 11th anniversary of the arrival in 2000 of the first expedition crew of the station: U.S. astronaut Bill Shepherd and two Russian cosmonauts, Sergei Krikalev and Yuri Gidzenko.
