The orbiters Discovery and Endeavour are swapping places at Kennedy Space Center this morning as NASA continues prepping the spacecraft for museum display.
Endeavour is rolling out of of Orbiter Processing Facility Bay No. 1, and Discovery is moving out of the Vehicle Assembly Building. The two spacecraft will stop briefly outside OPF Bay No. 3 for a photo opportunity.
Discovery will roost in retirement at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum annex outside Washington, D.C., and Endeavour will head to the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
The Orbital Maneuvering System and Forward Reaction Control System pods have been removed from the spacecraft for museum prep work.

This is going to be like a train wreck. You have to look, but do you really want to see these fantastic machines will 60+ missions left in them bring rolled around, dismantled, when they were doing their job on orbit just a few months ago? I don't know!
I agree 100% Mark Lopa. Seeing them being ripped apart is disgusting.
Stephen, could you be more condescending? I know darn well what's going on with the OMS pods and RCS. You don't get it and never will. Watch Bob Crippen's speech at the memorial for Columbia at the SLF a few days after the disaster. He gets it--as do Jack and I and thousands of others--and Crip would rip you to shreds of he read your last sentence.
